Would someone PLEASE tell Hummer

That the grass is NOT greener on the other side of the fence! (well actually it IS but didn't really want him to work that one out).
He has worked out that the little white tape that separates him from the long grass is quite stretchy and if you keep walking, eventually, it completely disappears! then WALLAH!!! green grass up to your eyeballs!
Helps if I remember to turn the fence ON of course! as running around catching wild Kaimanawa ponies and an energetic young endurance arab that is full of beans at 10.30 at night is SO not cool!!!
Oh and just for furture reference.... make sure you are NOT holding onto the fencing wire when another family member turns the mains on......... screaming really loud at that time of night does nothing to impress the neighbours.. or the whole valley for that matter.

Pics of the wee pro!

Well, I couldn't hold it off any longer. The wee boy seriously needed a manicure.

I have been doing little bits with Hummer in the paddock, but nothing major so was quite prepared to know his front feet could be done but perhaps a bit more handeling with the backs with the possibility of a quick file... BUT Hummer completely proved me wrong and stood like he had done it a million times before!!!!!!

So I had to take pics! .... with the only rule being I was not aloud to take any of Chris's legs ;-)

The before and after pics

Hummer has rather interesting back feet!

So decided it would be a good idea to take some pics over the next few months of how they grow.

Here are the before and after pics of his second ever trim.

Well Hummer has grown a wee bit since the last post!!!

He has lost all his fluff and is showing great form in the race to be the biggest pony on the property.

Are you sleeping...???

Daisey: "He's not dead, I promise, he is completely fine"

Daisey: "Don't believe me then"
Hummer: "Oh for goodness sake mum, I am FINE!!"
Daisey: "See... I told you....."

Hummer is finally home :-D

Hummer trucks like a pro!!

This was Hummers first time up on the truck (other than the cattle truck when he was mustered)!! Yep a little food helps hehe! but still!
He walked up the ramp then let me turn him into place then very calmly walked back down the ramp again after eating his dinner up there..... little legend!
Michelle helped me do this a few more times, and we shut the door and started the engine and moved the truck back and forth, then finally the day came for him to come home!!!
Hummer and Ritchie together! I stayed in the accomodation part of the truck so I could make sure all was okay, and it was. Both ponies travelled like a dream :-)
